Digimon Reboot Episode 45 - The Other Side
“When we were transported, something must have gone wrong.”
This episode seemed to have a really mixed reaction, though I personally love it.
It’s nice to see how the Digimon have changed their partners through the years of knowing them. Changing things for the better. I think it was an angle that hadn’t been examined before in canon series or other fanseries. Partly because in Reboot, the characters have all had their Digimon since birth (or near enough).
This episode focuses on all the things that the Digimon have helped their partners deal with, and what might have happened had the Digimon never existed.
I’m sure to some readers parts of this were incredibly over dramatic, and a required a certain level of disbelief, and maybe those readers are right.
But having an influence in your life can cause a person to change a lot. Taking away that influence means there’s no one there to bat ideas off of, and no one there to talk to about problems that perhaps no one else wants to hear about.
Relationships are funny like that.
